Very simple, just put put strokes of paint on the under-painting then moisten with water on those you wish to soften by scumbling with a bright bristle brush. Walla - soft edges. Also using the same method you can create half tones where one color will mix with the juxtaposed color. I am still learning the + -'s

Yes, I can see it. With the standard acrylics I've been using multiple glazes, scumbling, etc. to achieve a similar effect. Maybe I'll try some of the newer acrylics at some point.

Thanks again Charlene, I am hoping it is a winner in the contest that just closed. But you can see by the mottling that I am able to get with the paints I spoke about.
