As much as I love this painting, it is not eligible for a prize since it has recently won first place in a previous contest here.

I have to agree the painstaking detail work on the hair is definitely worth a 5 star vote.

Thanks, Carl. That means much coming from you. BOth the hair and feathers were a challenge, but worth it. I'm very happy with this one.

Wish I had the patience to paint hair like this or the feathers. Beautiful neoclassical styled fantasy painting exhibiting extreme skill in composition and technique. Reasons for my five star vote.
