graphite - my son

by chanda95
NOT my best work however - it is the one I learned the most from...for that reason I am sharing it. I am WELL AWARE of the flaws as it has been pointed out to me over and over and over (and often in pretty blunt and nasty terms)..so it is framed and it hangs on my wall as a reminder of all the things I did wrong and all the things I learned.

lol..that attention to detail for the background is what I got reamed for the most. I didn't fade out as I should have..and I see that...but at the time I got so wrapped up in the details that by the time I realized what I had done..it was too late. I am ok with it as it is my own personal piece..I absolutely learned so much from this!

Oh don't be too hard on yourself - this is pretty awesome.. you paid great attention to detail... and what I like most.. is that you gave the same love and care to the surrounding backgrounds as you did your lil boy! All arts have flaws to some degree... typically only those that the artist is aware of.. Meaning the artist is never 100% happy with his/her creation. we look at past works, with fresh eyes as time passes, and find there are always things that could have been done differently.
