This was one of my earlier figurative landscape pieces. My goal was simply to unite the woman with her surroundings. I love landscapes at dawn and dusk for both the minimal tonalist qualities and the symbolism of beginning new or, in this case, the ending a chapter. The specifics of her story are for you to interpret.
