This is a photo manpulation I did in photoshop. I am actually wondering if anyone has any tips on how to mimic this effect in actual paints. Comments and critiques are welcome.

I do think she has too much reflective 'action' in her face,
Looks like her face is disfigured or melting. If I were you
I'd Google search images of golden figurine/faces, also
just pictures of the metal itself.
When looking at gold reflections, note that there are 3
or four colors that make up the gold reflection - you have
creams, ochre, deep browns, a little black, etc.. Pinpoint
those colors, mix 'em up and get going. Keep in mind that
these reflections will be of figures around your Goddess.
Looking forward to seeing the 'Golden Goddess' painted! E.

I sort of like the melting action. I'm weird like that. Thank you for taking the time I think I'm going put this on the docket for a completed work :)
