I have already introduced myself as primarily a Rubber hose artist here today but I still feel like I haven't learned enough about that style. I don't feel like there's enough useful tutorials and advice out there for the style so that's the reason why I came here. I'm not sure if it's just me and the modern world or if my toons are off but they seem a bit odd. I mean they are drawn in an outdated style after all and no matter how perfectly I draw them I get a weird feeling from them. The themes from that era were also very depressing.
I got inspiration to adopt this style from the old cartoons I would watch with my grandparents.
Any advice for better drawing the style or is it a psychological thing?
