A Singular Creation Showdown - Voting Process
Voting should be based on originality, composition, execution and importance relative to theme. A Singular Creation has ultimate authority in the decision making process.
We will award one overall winner and four runners up (honerable mentions) for each contest. All winners and runners up will be featured on our showdown winners' pages and in our e-newsletter. In addition to that, the overall winner will be featured on our home page and will receive the grand prize for that contest (cash and/or prize from our sponsor).
Phase 1 - Juried Voting: After each contest deadline arrives, finalists will be chosen by a small panel of ASC jurors. There may be anywhere between 8 and 20 finalists (depending on the number and quality of entries). This phase of judging will last from the 15th through the last day of each month. After that phase of judging, we will then go to phase 2.
Phase 2 - Public Voting: After the finalists are chosen, voting will be open to the public. Visitors will be able to rate all of the finalists on a scale of (1 - 5 stars). This phase of voting will last from the 1st to the 14th of the following month. We will then go on to phase 3, which is the final phase.
Phase 3 - Final Tally: During this phase, the final scores are tallied up. The jurors' vote will count for 75% of the score, while the popular vote will count for 25%. The winner and runners up will be announced shortly afterwards.
