The Upstream People Gallery presents an exhibition with 12 month's gallery representation, from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2008, with approximately 900,000 hits each month. Open to all artists wordwide with 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional artwork in all media and creative processes.
Cash Awards of Excellence and Special Recognitions will be given at the juror's discretion; the amounts and number of which is determined by the entries and their quality. Specially recognized artists will be reviewed in the juror's statement published worldwide and sent in a press release to the artist's local newspaper(s).

Theme: Perspective can be the point of view from which you are standing when you release the shutter, or reflect your state of mind at the time when the image is created. Are you up high, or low to the ground? Maybe you are high on life, or down in the dumps. All these perspectives can greatly influence the message and impact of your photograph. What is your Perspective?
Eligibility: The exhibition is open to all domestic and international, professional and amateur, photographers working with digital or traditional photography or combinations of both. The Center for Fine Art Photography invites photographers working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought to participate in its exhibitions. Traditional, contemporary, avant-garde, creative and experimental and mixed techniques are welcome.

Artists are invited to submit outdoor sculptures to be featured at the Twelfth Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition. Located on the U.S. Canada border. Peace Arch International Park is the Western United States’ International Gateway to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
In the spirit of international goodwill of the games, the United States Canada Peace Anniversary Association (USCPAA) is pleased to announce that our Twelfth Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition will open May 1st, 2009, and it will run through April 1st, 2010.
Located at the 4th busiest US/Canada border crossing, over 500,000 people visit the historic site and International Peace Park each year. A special edition full color self guided artwork and park history tour brochure will accompany the exhibit. Artists benefit from international exposure and recognition by being featured in North America's most celebrated International Peace Park.
A panel of international U.S. and Canadian art experts, association members and park management will jury the exhibition. The criterion for selecting the exhibit includes: artistic impression, quality, durability, aesthetic appeal, and park and community appropriateness. The Art Interview - 15th International Online Artist Competition is a quarterly, international, juried exhibition of paintings, drawings and sculptures in any medium. The San Diego Art Institute is pleased to announce a call to artists for its "50th International Award Exhibition", held March 21 – May 10, 2009 at the Museum of the Living Artist, San Diego, CA with over $7,350 total in Awards. The Museum of the Living Artist (MoLA) is a 10,000 square-foot state-of-the-art gallery space, located in the heart of scenic Balboa Park, a botanical jewel and the centerpiece of the city of San Diego. Balboa Park attracts 12 million visitors annually to its 32 cultural organizations. SDAI ’s Museum of the Living Artist is dedicated to the advancement of the visual arts through outreach, education and exhibition. Open to all domestic and international artists.

Richeson School of Art & Gallery, a division of Jack Richeson & Co., Inc, is proud to announce the Richeson 75 Small Works Competition 2009. Seventy-five two-dimensional works of art and several alternates will be selected to represent the finest examples of painting and drawing being produced by today’s visual artists. The following prizes will be awarded:
Best In Show - $2,000. First Place in each category will receive a $750 certificate for art materials from Jack Richeson & Co., Inc. Second Place Award in each category will receive a $500 certificate for art materials from Jack Richeson & Co., Inc. 75 Finalists and a number of alternates will be selected and invited to participate in the exhibit at the Richeson Gallery in Kimberly, Wisconsin from March 23-May 21, 2009.
The Richeson 75: Small Works Competition is open to all artists over age 18. JayKay Gallery is an arts center located in the quaint town of Carrouge, Switzerland, just a few miles outside of Lausanne, in the gorgeous Swiss country side near Lake Geneva, vineyards and the Swiss alps. The gallery is in a renovated 3 story farmhouse dating back to the 19th C. The Smithtown Township Arts Council is now accepting entries for A Pinch and a Dash, an exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month March 28- April 19, 2009 at the Mills Pond House Gallery. The exhibition seeks to examine the American woman’s changing role in the kitchen, from rural times when a woman’s biscuits defined her reputation, to twentieth century ready-made preparation. A Pinch and a Dash calls for works that exemplify women’s role in the kitchen or reveal how that role has changed to meet new challenges in American society, from providing sustenance for the family, to maintaining ethnic traditions, to natural and organic awareness.
