Sigh, unfortunately you are right. I know. I worked in two different prison systems filled with those kind of people.

I agree, it isn't right. But there will always be people who care more about getting their way than about being fair or honest.

Well, thank you for your perspective Charlene. I know you are right. As you know some of my comments can be 'disagreeable' at times but the behavior you describe is simply dishonest. It irks me

I wouldn't worry about the standards of someone who votes "awful" for so many works, Carl. It's called voting down. Whoever it is is probably trying to tweak the voting as much as possible in favor of their favorite.

Just checked into the voting site. I noticed several paintings were rated awful. Does the rater have the guts to let us know who he or she is, and why all these paintings are awful in his or her mind? I would really like to know the standard used so I may improve.

Thank you, Oksana. I took a look at your work as well, and I love the colorful liveliness and bold compositions.

Thank you, Joe...and thanks, Carl. It's an honor to be in the final running.

Yes, congrats Charlene! How could a little impressionist painting not be a finalist. So glad you abandoned the Hudson School.
