A Helping Hand

by Matt Ireland
When people share kind acts of love and support with one another the world suddenly changes. These moments of kindness are refreshing.
My drawing is of two sisters standing in a gently flowing stream. The younger sister was born with Downs Syndrome and has trouble with balance and agility, but with the support and guidance of her older sister she is able to experience something very much refreshing.
Medium: graphite pencil
Size: 18x24in

This work is truly amazing Matt. You have captured not only the expression of reluctancy on the younger childs face, but also the warmth of unconditional love on the older sisters face showing that she is happy to do whatever it takes to comfort her sister.Beautiful.

Sorry to say but this artwork looks too real for graphite pencil. A nice study having said that.
