Such a penetrating demand of presence. Power and confident expression in this portrait painted with anatomical accuracy while maintaining a color composition with loose control. I believe this painting shall stand the test of time down through the centuries. Reasons for my 5 vote. I have copied it so I can study it. Took a closer look at the free abandonment of the background brush strokes. Love it.
