Crow Warrior

by maltam
This portrait drawing was completed in charcoal on arches paper of a Crow Indian Warrior, Absaroka in their own language meaning "Bird People", in formal attire. Historically these tribes lived in the Great Plains of Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota. As they were bitter enemies of both the Sioux and Cheyenne nations, they fought alongside and scouted for the U.S. Calvary.
