New painting for my "The Plain People" Art show.
I just wanted to create a painting with more free movement.

Hi Yoli, I love the texture in this...one thing I notice, is the the continuation of same stroke movement in sky and land, with building strokes and movement vertical.. Its not bad, just catches the eye. Love the direct contrasts in the barn...Think the greenery and the foreground could use a little more work especially that this piece is portrait vs landscape... which diminishes the barn with the negative space a bit. However you are on a good path with it..Keep it going.

Well, I'm not experiencing closure with this one - Yoli! What about the field!?
Needs a lil' something...not sure what...something pale since it'a fairly pale sky, right?
No, I can't believe I said that...should be darker...
Maybe a lil' more texture and action...E

Was this the final image? Or was the final reposted elsewhere?

I agree with E, I am not feeling the field or the greenery actually is all it could be... feels rushed to completion to me.
Not addressed with the same attention as the barn was, and I believe all parts of the painting should be given same level of care and attention not just the focal point. Just a thought.

great contrast between the blue and yellow brings the eye to focus on the barn
