Forum keeps dropping my login

Postby DLKeur » Wed Jun 20, 2007 3:19 pm

Like the sign says, half the time, the forum drops my login, for no discernable reason, in no particular circumstance, under no specifically logical, identifiable cause.

I know. It does it for me as well and I hate that. I have to look into a mod that will help to store the cookie better. Hopefully, I will have a fix for this soon.

If this is phpBB, did you check the cookie timeout? The couple I run for various boards as a time in milleseconds you can adjust. I might be confusing it with SMF or VB, but I think it is either in general configuration in the admin or it is a manual edit of the configuration file itself. Just thoughts. Don't quote me on it, because until I am actually in the code doing a setup, specific knowledge just vanishes into a sealed archive in my
ain.

Anyone know how to get one's login to stay using Vista and FireFox? I'm having a devils time with staying logged in anywhere. I'm running AVG Pro (full package) on a Toshiba with Vista Home Premium.

And, yes, I'm back again for a time...until the next bout of health stuff ties up my free time.

Hey Dawn,
I have not worked with Vista yet although I hear great things about the new version of FF. I will let you know if I learn something.

all the best,
