Using your talent for a fundraiser.

Postby jenn_iam » Mon Jun 16, 2014 5:55 pm

This is a just sharing moment...

Over the weekend, we did a booth at our local Relay for Life, a fundraising event for the American Cancer Society, for those unfamiliar.
Our team has over the years, provided Henna temporary tattoo art (Mehandi) as the fundraising event offering.

I was blown away when I found out that I had managed to crank out over 110 temporary tattoo designs - applied in Henna, within a 10+ hour window of time...
Crazy.. but so cool. But I really couldnt have done it without the amazing support I had...

Helping other people is the best thing a person can ever do. It's better to have a big heart than a big bank account.
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.

I did a fundraiser last October . We painted pumpkins to sell for childhood leukemia. We sat at tables with other artists, painted images requested by shoppers and had a good time. it felt good to know my efforts went to a good cause. Sometimes it is better to give then receive.
