I like the piece... there are only a couple things I would recommend. Now, keep in mind that impressionism is my favorite style. The one thing that stands out to me is that the water has no reflections. I would work on this a little bit. I think you could bring in some broken color into the water to make that water pop a little more. I attached a photo of one of Monet's paintings titled "Water Lillies." If you notice the water you can see a light opaque color in the water that shows the reflections from what is above the water. The other thing I love to see in paintings is bringing color from parts of the piece into other places. For example.... You have some beautiful baby blue in that water... what if you took just a couple light brush strokes of that into the grass or root structure of the trees? Or take a couple strokes of that light green into the darker foreground. A lot of times, I find that bringing colors from one area to little parts of the rest ties the entire piece together.
