Bristol board - 2 ply vs 3 ply

Postby Menolly » Thu Mar 05, 2009 5:39 pm

I'm thinking of buying a few big sheets of
istol board for an upcoming project, but I'm not sure if I should get 2-ply, 3-ply or 4-ply board. Does the difference just affect the rigidity of the board, or does it affect what sorts of materials you can use on it? (I'm thinking in terms of warping or bleeding if I use a wet medium.)

If you're talking about "strathmore"
and I would go with the" vellum" as it has more of a tooth which is great for wet applications. I think 80 to 100 lb is fine.
