Here's a light decorative I had fun with. Not final yet, so let me know if you feel something isn't right.
Also, Photoshoppers, how the heck do I crop an adjustable circle?? I used the circle marquee tool for this image, but it won't let me adjust the size!

Erika, I sure do like this - what do you think about
painting the figures? Sorry I can't help with the
Photoshop problem but the work is very cool. E

Thanks, E. I was thinking of doing some shading, highlights on the figures. I was holding back because of the fear of ruining it. Oh well, I'll use watercolour, that's fixable.

Here it is. Better, but now the figures are fading into the background. I think I'll need to paint the background around them. A strong colour that doesn't compete with the figures. I'm leaning towards very dark green, but considering orange and red as well. What do you think?

Erika, the shading looks good and I don't think it make the figures fade.
I'm thinking bone highlights and your sienna shadowing as opposed to
orange or green. E

Thank you so much everyone for your comments. I wasn't entirely happy with the figures not popping out enough so I gave the figures shadows. Thanks E for your input, you were right, the green background didn't work. What do you guys think of the result?

The final effort looks god Erika, looks like a theme you could employ on vases or large drinking vessels.

Erika, you are on to something with this look. Anybody
would be proud to have this as a wall piece! It is happy,
unique-looking and Pretty Darn Cool.
Better start thinking about what you'd charge.... E

Thank you all again. It's varnished now and that
ought out the figures nicely. Carmelo, you're right, forgot to mention it's a bowl. Hubby says reminds him of ancient Greek vessels. Ha-ha, E, what do you charge for something you worked 3 days on?
