Burung burung kertas #2 (paper birds#2)
Oil paints on canvas
42x48inch/3.5x4ft.

I did this painting for a competition "citra terengganu 2018"mean story of terengganu which is one of a state in malaysia. held by terengganu state muzium. The theme is "kearifan tempatan" which mean local wisdom.
So i paint the paper birds as a metaphor to wisdom. And i put their traditional house, wood carved keychain, a blade called 'golok' also with carved cased to tell about their wisdom in wood carving. Then the textile is called 'batik terengganu' to tell about their wisdom in making batik by hand.

I thought it was made with watercolor - at least, the light feels that way. Great work!

She's beautiful! The only thing I personally would have done is made her hand a bit darker on the inside. The light is very strong coming in the window. Seems to me the shadow would have been a bit stronger.

Overall, this is wonderful! Something seems a little off about the raised hand by the window. Maybe it needs more shadows to bring in the curve or angle under the thumb down towards the wrist. Other than that, it is spectacular! I love the symbolism and multiple techniques! And the detail of the woman's face is excellent! You did a fantastic job on capturing her expression!
