She is very good... She has a great luminescence against the background. I am not sure however, what style if any you were going for. Her face clearly has had the most attention to detail, but radially that same level of detail fades. The cloths and ear, for instance, are less worked. If I was to give any critique to this it would be to manage the consistencies . Overall, she is lovely...

Hi Jenn, the photo I took does not show her clothing well at all... clearly much darker than the original painting. I wish I was a better photographer but for now I just use my cell. Thank you for your advice!

One thing I like is the gradation on the face. It is soft with slow transitions.

I have been concentrating on the faces of portraits using portrait artist Paul W. McCormack's watercolor techniques. I find it extremely challenging but wonderful results. Thanks Again!

I actually do not mind that the black of her clothes meld into the background, my comment was more reflective of what you can see... the detail of the ear, the texture of the fabric on her head piece.. the texture in the decorative collar... they are all nice, but do not match the same style or detail that you put into the face.
