Congratulations eddieblz, it is the Island of the Dead (3rd version, 1883) by Arnold Bocklin.

NOTE: Please feel free to post your own 'What Painting' picture for others to identify.
It does not have to be portioned (though I think it works best). Use your own imagination for other ways for disguise.
I think it be best to have one picture at a time, after which another can be posted.
I suggest a 12-24 hour cooling off period between pictures, so others get a chance to post their disguised picture.

If no one posts a picture this time tomorrow I'll post another picture.
In the meantime, go for it. Or post your thoughts on this suggestion.

I know the painter but can't find the image - It was cool finding some work
of his that I'd never seen before.

A very obscure piece. Something out of the norm for this artist.

A touch of tongue-in-cheek.
It looks a bit like early Lichtenstein with Kadinsky. In saying that, I have no idea. :D
So, I'll just wait and see.

I mean, Andy was all about raising consciousness and he also seemed like a a pretty nice guy.
His work left me cold - pretty much jaded and tongue-in-cheek but this one is a fabulous tribute to
Roy and Pablo with perfect additions to the dialogue by Andy. Super cool.
