Hi

My Name is Christoph and im from saxony, germany. (Sorry in advance for my bad english, hope you dont mind)
I'm 24 years old and mostly just draw for the joy of it and occasionally take some photographs.
Well, at least I used to take pictures. Currently I dont have access to a decent camera.

Prior to registering here I used to dump my Pictures on Deviantart, but I didnt get enough feedback for my taste. And if I did get some critique, it didnt help me alot in terms of advancing my skills, if you know what I mean. I hope to find here a closer community that can give me some decent critique to help me develop my skills further.

I mostly draw in black ink (be it with a nib pen, regular pen or brush). Just cant get the hang of colors.
Oh, and I love cartoons. A lot. Weird ones.

I will keep having my pictures on deviantArt for now, until my own homepage is online, but for now:

Hi Christoph,

Welcome to ASC. Great to have you with us. You definitely have skills. Hopefully we can help you harness your strengths and hopefully you will develop as an artist with a little good advice. I love your photo of the train track. Great shot. When you are ready, post some of your work in the gallery and to get some feedback, use the critique forums.

all the best,
Joe

Thanks a lot.
The photo you mentioned was taken in Berlin, Spreepark, Plaenterwald. Very nice location. To bad you can only go there with a guide that holds you back if you try to get to some nice spots xD

Just got an old canon 1000D from one of my friends with a decent lense. So I guess there will be a lot more photos these days.
Just need to try to find some time to continue drawing.
I will upload some more recent work soon, just got alot of projects running that need attention :)

Gutentag, Christof - I love your classical training with the texturizing of evil face (2).
Hands are very, very nice and I llove that crosshatching!
All the photos are super, especially the tracks under the tree. I do notice that the tracks don't go directly into the tunnel - is this an artistic statement or misguided cut and paste?
Last photo leaves me a little cold but still not bad - I think your sharply
elegant chair gets overpowered the hazy graffiti, background. Thank You and Welcome! E

Herzlich willkommen Christoph!
(Another German artist here, but living in Spain). I also like your drawings and pictures.

I am absolutely convinced that you do not especially need a sophisticated camera to take nice pictures. You "only" need the right view and ideas, what you obviously have.
Why do not try a Google website and/or blog for the beginning? If I was able to set up such a site, you will be as well. Later, you will always be able to switch to an own domain.

Good luck!

Youre right. The Photographer takes the pictures, not the camera. But if I can choose between an iPhone-cam or a 1000D, i pick the 1000D ;)

I already have my own domain (several, actually) but the website still needs some finetuning to have a consistent design on all major browsers and devices.
I guess it will be online in a few weeks.

Today me and a few friends are going to try to make some "levitation"-photos. Hope its going to work the way I want it xD
