Mountainlake

Postby nigelartist » Mon Jul 01, 2013 10:44 am

Here is the very initial groundwork for my new oil which has been in the gestation period for far too long. My fellow moderator has rightly kicked my large *** into gear and at last I have started painting for the first time in eons.

This is Mountainlake...'cos I like painting landscapes in oil whether they are good or not! LOL

Be gentle guys I'm feeling rather gossamer right now.

God bless ya E.

x

Nigel :)

PS Oil on canvas.

More work been done on Mountainlake.

Starting to look how I want it now. This oil has surprisingly been easier than I imagined.

Anybody know what this mountain is called...if anything?

Over to you guys...

Many thanks for the information Eddie. I just think that this is a wonderful scene. I just hope I can do it justice.

Many thanks Eddie. Positive comments are what I need...I haven't painted in ages as I've been too busy moderating for ASC. Also, I lost confidence in my ability to paint.

God bless.

Looks like you got back on the "horse" and took off right where you left at. Great work. Nice to see you get your mojo back.

I understand the feeling. Your ability made it easy to find the mountain info. I Googled mountain lakes and there was a photograph of the mountain in your painting. Your painting is so well done it was easy to match. Then I just Googled search by image and found all the info on the mountain. You have no reason to lack confidence, your very good.

I know about those Doors, Lizard King etc. I thought of them a few times when I was doing the theta waves article research. Especially when I was testing out that Squareeater site. A Trip, in deed.
E. are you a writer, like have you done essays, prose or books? Just thought I would ask.

I hope to see more from Nigel, his hand and eye are a great team.

Nicely put regarding Nige - I've started and stopped a few short stories - I always seem
to run outta gas mid-way or earlier!

Hi Nigel,
I just looked at your new painting and I like it very much. Beautiful blues, great sky and reflection. Are you still working on your painting?
xxK.

Yes, I'm still working on the painting Christine. Only subtle changes really. It's almost there. Thanks.
