I found this story today about an elderly woman who took is upon her self to restore a 120 year old painting.

After initially wanting to have her arrested and
strung up by the Art Police, I calmed down but not much.
What a desecration of a fine work of art.

I must say how can did this happen, how come no one noticed her painting it. What a travesty, how can she not know, not to touch such a fine piece of work. This work is now lost forever.

What amazes me is the arrogance in thinking that
as a non-professional, she could just go in and start slapping
color around like that as well as completely changing
the style of this piece.
I'm sure, after all the commentary and headlines around the
world that, she now realizes what she did and is properly mortified.
I look at it this way, we all screw up from time to time - this screw-up
just happened to be a real biggie, lol!

It has some very advanced stage and some more primary individuals engaged, so it gives a excellent extensive variety of concepts.

How sad. I have an heirloom art piece. I clean the exterior of the frame and the front glass and never dream of opening it up. That is totally for the pros only.

I need to learn how to take picture of art. It is over the mantle in the living room. I have no clue who the artist is, been needing to take a photo to submit to one of those "who made this?" sites. I will have a go at it, please don't make fun of my crappy photo-taking. I might enlist Tanya to do a better one when she is home or over the weekend. We are sooo busy! lol I will make a different thread so as not to hijack this article discussion.
