i like the picture as much as the painting because if you look close, you can see the pastel powder and a bit of a 3d feel...i want to wipe it off...

you should! try a good quality soft pastel...so much better than coloring....and i miss sculpting...i just happen to be out of clay

You did a great job of capturing the innocence of the child. Its compositions and illustration techniques are very good. I would suggest work on depth of color to really make it pop.
