This oil was initially called 'Sunset1'.

Eventually I have completed it.

Over to you guys and gals...

Nice work Nigel. My biggest complaint is actually the signature - haha. I think it is too big and distracts from the painting. Also the value of the water could use a little variation from front to back. It has good depth but the values should not be the same in the foreground as the values at the horizon line.

well done!

Many thanks for your words Joe.

This painting was harder to complete than it looks.

I have also re-uploaded a new photograph of this artwork using natural daylight rather than flash. This image is a more truer representation.

The vibrancy of the colors make this piece nigel.
I would agree with joe as to the changing of the values from from of painting to back would increase the depth. i would also suggest(understanding this is already completed piece) a bit more blending in the sky colors(which i love), would add a bit more mystery, and be a bit less stark.
Nice seeing your work again!

I like this Nigel but agree with Joe that the water could use some variation in the values from front to back. Nice work and good title.

I like this muchly - there could be some more color differentiation in the
water but the colors are fab!!!!
