All my life I've been drawing, writing, making jewelry and crafts in my spare time.
This led me to become a professional needlecraft designer for a number of different publishers, including Leisure Arts, The Needlecraft Shop, House of White Birches, and Workbasket. When my partner and I closed our business after 13 years, I needed a new outlet for my creativity.
I did scrapbooking for some time, switched to jewelry for several years, but that wasn't it... Then I picked up a paint
ush for the first time in many years... and found my new focus. Since then I've been working in watercolor, acrylics,
ush marker, and colored pencil... depending on where I am and what I have handy.
For me, creating is all about colors, textures, shapes, and a touch of whimsey. I can't settle into one style or genre or technique. There's always something new to try, or different techniques to merge. I'm all about thinking outside the box.
A few weeks ago someone mentioned Etsy. I checked it out, and now I'm building a store for my art. In one of the teams I joined, I found a reference to A Singular Creation... now here I am. I can't wait to get some feedback on my art and see what everyone else is doing!
Thanks for having me!
