This beauty reminds of a movie called 'What Dreams May Come'.
having said that, I'm wondering if the columns/roof are just
a tad off-kilter, or is it just the photograph?
I do think the structure's columns look a little
ight and one-
dimensional - a little more shading/distressing, perhaps?
Don't get me wrong - I love your work!!!

I think this is my favorite one yet, though I too notice a lack of depth with the columns... aside from that this is fantastic!

Hi Mike,
Love the feel of this one! Colors are so well layed out, almost a mystical feel.
I do agree with previous posts about the columns. Maybe some shading to round them a bit?
Love your work, and this is no exception...can you get me THERE!? It looks so calm and peaceful, would love to be in such a tranquil setting.

i am so sorry i am late here to reply ehoeveler i have been a bit busy but always love comeing back here to see what my friends say ,,,,,,,

fisrt off the picture that i took of this one ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you can not see the shadows of the columns ,,,,,,,,,,,well they are there it is so hard to see .................have to take a better picture of this

second the columns,,,,,,,,,,i could not agree more as they are off-kilter to the left ............i was thinking it was just my easal that was off ................when i was looking at it here it did not look bad at all

but then i gave it time and i have made them much more in line and have to say they do look alot better now

hello Menolly ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yea i did a better job on this one in the last three days ,,,,,,adding things like more shadow to the columns even if it did have a nice shadow in it already that my camera did not show here

it still needed a bit of work ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but in the end i do love it much more now ......................thank you Menolly

Such an incredible rendering, Mike. I love the details that you applied on this one and you played well with the colors. Do you have a photo reference on this one, or you just came up with it from your imagination? Before I forgot, I also have to agree with them regarding the lack of depth on the columns. Other than that though, this is truly an excellent oil painting. Keep up the good work.
