New Artworks 2010

Postby Teknowizard » Wed Mar 10, 2010 12:48 pm

Not a whole lot of new ones yet this year. I managed to earn enough during Christmas to get caught up on bills and then was having so many problems from the arthritis that haven't been able to work much.

I have a bit of good news for a change! :) I was invited and sponsored and my work will appear at the Imagicon Convention art show coming up - http://imagicon.org/imagine2010/

Oh, since there are likely new members here in all my absence, these artworks are created with fractals, a new style I have come to call Fractal Illusions.

For those who might have been wondering what I mean by "Fractal Illusions" when I'm referring to many of my artworks. I put together a little video from the thumbnail images I made as I was working on Endless Journey. Each change represents roughly 5 or more fractals added to the piece.

This is a rework of an earlier artwork which was a combination of fractal & painting. It is now pure fractal illusion.

Finished this one a couple of hours ago. A gateway between a parallel universe and our own, named after the Japanese goddess of Luck and beauty.

I just barely managed to get this one finished by april fools day but did it with 33 minutes left to spare. Seeing as how its named after Loki, that mischievous fire god from the Norse legends, I thought it the perfect day for the completion date. lol

Cool! What I like about this one is that, with the pattern shift in spots, it looks like there are shelves, or something like shelves, causing the cloud patterns to spill across the bottom of the piece like liquid. (At least, that's what I'm seeing.)

This is fantastic! :D What's the significance of the name for this one? I know you usually name your worlds after deities, but Threa isn't ringing a bell.
