Drs. have given me the "all clear"(heard that one before, but this time I'm going to FIGHT Twisted Evil

to keep the cancer at bay!)
I am able and SO ready to travel! I'm going HOME for a visit! Seeing my son and grandkids(little granddaughter I haven't ever seen in person) it will be so very uplifting!
So, I will be absent for awhile, will miss you all, stay safe and paint/draw/create. I will look forward to all your beautiful pieces when I return. Till then...... Very Happy

I've been humming the lyrics from John Denver's song.."I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again......." all day! Big day tomorrow! I'm all packed and ready! Found a wonderful pet sitter, so I think I can at least not worry myself to death about my fur-kids while I'm gone Laughing

Thanks everyone for your well wishes!
I'm back from a wonderful trip! It was a mess coming back through Dallas on Thurs.(snowstorm in progress), my plane sat on the runway for over 4 hrs.! BUT, the pilot was diligent(or maybe courageous?) and decided, unlike other pilots that decided not to fly out, to de-ice(YET again!) and took a plane load of people out of Dallas! I was very nervous about the potential for re-icing during takeoff. But we made it!
I had missed my next connection so I had to wait another couple of hrs. for the "puddle jumper"(small 9 seater, dual propeller plane) to get me back home.. I was exhausted after a long 18 hr. day of travel.
My fur-kids were exited to see me, and things have now settled a bit for me to post. Laughing

I was also on a house-hunting mission, as I have wanted to return to the SW for a LOOOOOONG time!
Here are pictures of my grandkids in. Aren't they gorgeous?! I hadn't met my granddaughter in person until this trip, and it had been five yrs. since I saw my son, DIL, and grandson!
