hi everyone...

how is your holiday? i hope it s fun and make all of you become refresh...

i spent my holiday at yogyakarta and surabaya city.. it s far enough fr my city, jakarta. yogyakarta is the city of art... i love that city and also the friendly people. if some of you plan to go to indonesia, pls dont forget to come to yogyakarta. there re some nice place like "kraton", tamansari, and the famous street : malioboro. there are so many people sell artworks , dress (Batik), sandals, unique shoes, etc. i take some photo there. i plan to make a painting about old woman who sell durians. but later...
at surabaya, i only go to zoo. it s a quite big zoo there and more animals than at jakarta.

and, this is my progress to cele
ate : Mother's Day (22 dec) at indonesia.
i know it s late. but better than not to do anything right?

the title pf my painting : mother and son - bathing...
medium : oil on canvas.
sz. 40 x 35 cm.

I agree with Karen, this is outstanding already! You are doing a wonderful job on the skin tones and shading, i can see in my minds eye, that this will be a VERY special work!
I must ask you...what type/
and of Oils do you use? As they have a very translucent feel to them. I am clueless when it comes to Oils, but would like to learn someday.

i m still on progres in this work.
hopefully i can post the second progres today.
i m using oil w
and : reeves. for colors except white and black.and 4 colors black and white, i m using
and : winton.
i m sure that is not difficult for you when using oil.because you already pro when you using pencil.
i always use pencil before.then, i try to use oil on canvas.just try it..
but your works with prisma pencil is really good already.

here is my next progress for my work : mother and son - bathing.

i like my painting's object. A little boy and her mother. They seems connected when bathing.a little boy that still needs her mother to help him standing well. A mother that so care about her child always take care of him, including when he is bathing... really connected. always make me remember my mom.. she always love me until now. i think forever... i love my mom...

Moving subject too! As a Mom, I know how deep the connection between mother and child is, lifelong, even when they grow up, do seemingly crazy things...Mom still loves...
