Perfect Rich!!!!
I can just feel the crispness in the air, the dampness from the morning mist, the wonderful freshness of the woods!
I want to be there! What a wonderful scene! Bravo on the colors and rendering of the beautiful water and trees, and your moose is so well done!
I cannot express how much I admire your work Rich. You, my friend, are a true master. In your Artwork, your kind and helpful comments, and your ability to inspire other artists (especially me :D )!
I have made a vow to myself, that as soon as I am resettled, and get through my latest challenge, to invest in all the materials(Yarnell as priority) you have been so kind to suggest, to help me to reach higher. You are a true master Rich, and I am in awe, keep them coming!

You have really captured the colors. And
ought richness to this landscape.
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.

You have done a fantastic job!! Love the way you've captured this entire scene....stunning!!! May I ask what size
ush you use for your detail? I've just started acrylics and the
ush I have seems to be to flimsy for detail....any suggestions would be appreciated!!! Well done my friend!!

Hi Linda,
Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate it.
To answer your question regarding detail
ushes, I actually have several that I use for different details.
For the grasses, weeds, small
anches, etc. I use the script liner
ush.
For other small details, I have an assortment of fine detail
ushes I use. I just make sure they all have a nice sharp point on them.
For foliage (
ush, tree leaves) I had several older sable
ushes that had been used so much over the years that they finally lost their shape. I cut some of them off so they "bushed" out some. They make great
ushes for leaves, scrub
ush, bushes, and things like that. I just use the size that best fits the item that needs the foliage, and where it is in the painting (distant, close, etc).
Unless a
ush is really trashed, I never throw them away. I just experiment with them until I figure out what they're good for!

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much for the information and you taking time to give it. I will look for the script liner
ush, as I said, the one I have has a very weak tip and just doesn't detail good at all. I have some cheaper ones I bought just to get started also but I find that they shed
istles pretty easily so I don't really use them much. Thanks also for the tips on "bushing" etc.... I really appreciate it.

Seeing your work is like taking a trip to the mountains. Thanks :D I really like this one too, again it feels like your there. Like you need to be quiet so as not to disturb the wildlife.

Rich

WOW!

Your painting is pleasing to the eye. Autumn is my favorite time of year and you captured the
ight fall colors perfectly. I would love to be where the moose is right now.

Thank you for sharing this with us.
