Thanks Joe! I'm trying to get the feel of theses oil sticks . . .very unusual and cumbersome . . .I have to use alot of mineral spirits to get it slushy and workable . .Don't know what I'm doin' but thanks all for diggin it!!

I have created BLACK works and LIGHT works and I believe that artists we have to explore both...only my black works can make me ill at times and great
ight positive works with little subtle? innuendoes are fascinating.

You could write a book about this...maybe a child's story...Narnia, the Hobbit.

Thanks for the larger pic. The sky is excellent and so is the hillside. The water under the boat looks like a meadow, which may not have been your intention, but it's great, it gives the painting a surreal feel.
What are oil sticks and how do you work with them?

Oil Pastels . . .They are like big crayons . . .Like chalk sticks . . .

Not my kind of medium but excellent work love the progress of the sky and the blending then the little details. Fantastic work for first time using will keep an eye out for you as after 6 months of using oil pastels will be even better. Thank you for showing it

I had no idea until i read the comments that it was oil pastels. Fair play weirdpuckett, fair play..You have definitely got an eye for complimenting colours and a great use of vivid colours too has really set this picture alive..Keep on going!!
