Here's what's on my easel at the present time. Still have some clean-up and detail work to do, but it's almost finished. I actually started this painting thinking it was going to be something from wine country, but somehow I ended up in moose country. :D

I'll post a better pic when it's finished with better lighting.

WP, Krysta, thank you both. So many talented people here and your feedback is important and welcome.

Kysta, your comment about my mom hit home. Today (14th) it has been one year since her funeral. I miss her. Thanks for the kind words.

Holy smokes, is this ever nice! You painted some great lighting and the landscape is so natural looking. You definitely have captured that late evening mood with the warm yellow tones as they bounce of the water and spruce trees. Your distant mountains are perfect. To paint something like this I would think would require considerable tallent and lots of time and patience.
Well done Rich,
Al

I must jump in here and agree with everyone's opinion...WOW! Very nicely done. I'm inspired by your wonderful use of color and the way it has created the mood in this piece, something I personally am trying to learn to do better.
Great work!
I've looked over your Gallery, and am very impressed. You have an awesome amount of talent.
I don't know the situation concerning your Mom, other than I know you lost her recently. But, I can imagine she must be smiling greatly seeing your work, and feeling very proud.

This is great!!!! I love the mood you created. Reminds me of Newfoundland and the comfort there, even if you are staring down a huge moose.

Love it!!!
