I would like some feedback as to the commercial viability of this photograph. It has been registered for copyright purposes with the Li
ary of Congress and said certificate of copyright has been issued.

I think that you are asking whether or not it can be sold? Of course . . .Why may I ask did you feel the need to copyright it so urgently? The instant that you made the image you have a bundle of rights that is automatically yours and any infringement of those rights are protected by the same copyright laws . . .Just so you know . . .I like the image by the way . . ..Is it a photo?

WP... unfortunately, in today's digital world there is in fact a real need to copyright work especially if it posted online. If your work is a capital venture {sold as a livelihood} it is VERY important to protect your interests.

Perhaps Joe would like to address this discussion?

WP,

Thank you for the comments; actually I waited 4 years to apply for a copyright. I only did so when I came to the decision to post it online and get some feedback prior to offering it for sale. It is a photograph, taken with a digital camera, one October afternoon in the Valley of the Gods in southern Utah. Several art galleries in Houston, Texas have expressed an itnerest in exibiting it but I have never taken any steps towards doing that until now. I would like to add to my collection of photographs as time and money allow.

Thank you,

J Lester
