Wolf at Rest In Snow

Hi,
Haven't posted (although I do "LURK" :D )in awhile, life has kept me very busy!
This is a piece I am working on currently.
It is Watercolor pencil on Paper. Thank you for looking, and any comments welcome.

Watercolour pencil, now that's interesting. Never seen one. Nice start, the eyes look great. His body seems a bit short, but I'm not a specialist, maybe it's the tail that makes it look that way.

Got a bit more done today. Now enhancing with paints(watercolor).

Thanks Erica. Yes, Watercolor pencils are fun, they are easier for me to achieve the detail in fur, at least for now, practice, practice practice! :)
I know I have a long learning curve ahead of me, but I'm having a great time experimenting with this medium.

I love it! You made the wolf look like he was lying down and lifted his head to look at us. You know I'm an animal lover!!

Were you trying to make the wolf the center of the piece if so great but I would like for the emotion to be
ought out more by the back round of the snow landscape.
