My wife comes home and tells me she promised her co-worker I would do a portrait of his baby...

Hi Michael,
I didn't see it before. Wow! It is very nice portrait of the baby. I am sure your wife must very proud of you and her coworker very happy with your drawing.
all the best

Nothing like those "surprise" commissions from your better half....I think your shading is awesome..the left eye does appear to be too small though....

I do think it looks small too...but I swear that's the way it looks in the photo....which is why you should always work from life...

be careful with your line. Nothing in real life has an outline so the second you draw one in, your drawing will not look realistic.

good advice...if I had worked it more...i would have minimized the lines and added more texture...

I like it Micheal......except for that left eye, but as you said, that's the way it looks so it is what it is. Nice work.

personally I think the baby's left eye is deformed. Or maybe the left eye is squinting just a bit and the baby's head is just sooo fat it shows no wrinkling...
