Very nice start... might attempt taking your darks one value darker to add some real SNAP.

i took BAReam advice and made some of the darks darker and it came out how i wanted it thanks...

yeah i would say self portrait but i think im going to start working on other subj. such as still life, animal, and sci fi,....
