hey Bruce,
Use this. Your image was extremely high quality, so i had to compress it. Let me know if you want me to crop it so that it is tallery than wide, or if you want to keep the current aspect ratio.

This will work for me... I didn't realize the file size was so large until I uploaded it, as my editing program (Mac) designated it as best for web. Would this size file be acceptable for the current light/dark competition as almost all my images are formatted this size?

Sure will. The contest gallery allows much larger file sizes - up to 1024KB.
