Great article came out in the Frederick News Post on the Urbana show which opened last week.

This is starting to be fun. Work yes but still fun.

Patrick, that's a nice, long, comprehensive article. You exposed a little yourself, which might help us- who are interested in your art- understand your thinking behind those intriguing works. Wonder do you think of artists: do you see them as adults or children?

Even if they live intensely adult lives artist are children when the delve into their creative work. Day dreaming is a childish pursuit, as is scribbling and splashing.

My inner child is the artist. I just try to support his obsessions and idiosyncrasies. I also try to keep him out of trouble and protect him.

Many of my characters are reflections of that 10 year-old self.
