Blue=Longing,Desire,Moon.Dream
Yellow=Cheerful,Happy,Joy,Warm
Green=Growth,freedom,Landscape,Harmony,Winner,Family.Youth
Whit=Pure,Clean,Cold
Black=Forbid,Powerfull,Timeless,Unsolved,Dark
Pink=Feminine,Flirtatious,Sexual,Fare
Purple=Rare,Royal,Pride
Orange=Hot,Fast Fun
Brown=Plain,Predictable,Safe
Light Brown=Honesty,Warmth
Gray=Dull,Dingy,Dirty,Sad,Darkness

If you look at these same colors through the eyes of the middle eastern cultures or asian cultures, they come out extremely differently. One must, IMO, ever place an absolute on colors, unless one happens to be in advertising or design where demographics play a very big role.

You are righte ,The emotion is totally western,that I have posted, in our country red is simble of marriage,blue means sad --I am about to post one by one.Thanks

ings up an interesting point; I hadn't thought of the different cultures. In fact, I just finished creating a series with the idea that the artwork is all the same 'model' (a 3D stylish object representing a face), except that the colors (& textures, refelctions, etc) are all different, thus showing different emotions. I call the series "Feelings" and a few of the images (5 in the series so far) are attached. I kept the frame, mat and background art identical on all of the images, but varied the background color on some of them. The frame and mat tie them together as a group. I hope to explore the idea with more pieces.
