WIP Realism Oil On Canvas Paper

Learning oil painting and this is one of my first attempts at realism. Hope you like it. Oil on Canvas paper. would love to hear your opinions.

Very Nice! I like the mood you have set with this piece....the young man is reflective, thoughtful and you captured it very well. Black and white and grays I think capture this more so than color ever could.... great job. The angle of the light, however would indicate a bit more high-light on the man's nose, eye socket, brow and cheek bones. Avoid white, but use a very light gray to achieve this, as pure white would be too glaring and look unnatural. I like the fact you used a grid system to reference proportion and size relationships, too.
