Upsidedown Miss Jane

A new oil on canvas I started today, not sure if it is finished or not, the fact it has a title makes me think it is. Really keen to hear what others think.

2 more sessions, another litre of turps plus a dozen or so 5ml syringe barrels and its starting to get close. Sorry for the crappy pic quality, yet another art I am yet to learn fully...

Done like mustard...I have cropped as close to final stretch as I could, 140cm by 110cm.

Thought & comments always welcomed.

I'm not familiar with this type of look. Where do you get
your influence - what do the red objects signify?
Got a feeling this looks a whole lot better than what your
photos portray. I do like the colors but maybe there's just a tad too much red.

Hey Ehoeveler, Thanks for your feedback. I don't think my painting comes from any one influence tho I have a strong liking for Ian Fairweather, not just his art but his person. No real significance to the red, just how the canvas came together as I worked thru the loss of someone I admired & respected. Your right about the pics not being the best, another on my list of things to work at improving.
