In the real world the hips appear to be kind of flat. I,m going to put a little roundness in my hips. It will give the work a more compelling look.

Will use nails to give the top and edges more thickness. And also create more shape. The two bottom secments are bent inward about 35% to attached the Pubis and the Llium bones. The pieces are now ready to weld.

Fascinating to watch the process. Is there a fast forward button? NO? I guess I'll have to wait.

I will always need to keep in mind the poportions. And keep the sizes kinda right. Want some things to be a little larger than real life. But at the same time. Don,t want things to look out of wack. I want to keep these two bones a little smallest ( The two bones between the legs that come down) They are not that becoming. However they have the be there so the skeleton will be correct and real looking. So I will lay the legs and feet on the steel table to see about how the poportions will work out. Looks like he will be about 17 inchs tall at the hip. These bones line up with the joint between the upper and lower leg. So I guess I,ll shoot for close to that without making them to big.

Just about done with these pieces. But got to looking at them. And they did,nt look right. And it,s kind of hard to tell without the skeleton being almost together and in an upright position. So for now will stop at this point. Perhaps I,ll need to remake these pieces. Not sure.

Now things are starting to get a little hard. I,m going to move on to the backbone.(Verte
al) This will be the real show down part. Nothing easy about this one. If this don,t get right. The whole work will be a failure. And failure will not happen.

Without a 3D model. And only pictures to look at. Scale will always be kind of a guessing came. And so it is with the backbone. I,ll start with the biggest 1st. Which is located at the hip. It gets smaller to the end of the tail. And smaller to the head. I will use small round pieces of steel which I punched on the punch press at work. I will have differnt sizes. Will need to use a few steel washers for the largest ones. And will punch a hole though all pieces so they can be all tied together with a small steel rod.

The scale, perportion issue is not getting any easyer to figure out. Can not really tell at this point weather thier to large, small or just right. At some point I should be able to see if I,m at the right size.
