Erika, The process I,m useing is tack welding the nails together. To try to obtain a shape of a bone. And when this shape is as close as I want to get it. I then weld the whole thing together. The welding rods I am useing are
onze. When the bone is done. It is about 60%
onze and 40% nails. And you can hardly see the nails at all. So what you are looking at as I am tacking the nails together. Is the spot tacks. Just to hold the nails to gether. And ofcourse when the piece is all welded. It has the look of the
onze. If sawed in half. You could see the nails inside. Most of the work I,ve done like this. I,ve done useing flat strips of 16 Ga. steel. But I find the nails much easier to work with. I always called this kind of work steel and
onze.
