My Latest WIP

Haven't named this one yet,( a Palomino) but signed it early because i didn't want to have to try to sign AFTER i've layered too many layers of CP.
Oh...it is Colored Pencil(Lyras) on Black(obviously  ) Strathmore paper. Yes, it has alot of texture, but I'm OK with it so far. Will need to do alot more burnishing before I will finish what i've done so far.

Did a bit more on the eye and starting to build the depth of the horse.
Filling in more of the base now as well.
Crappy photo, but it's horrid outside, so took this photo indoors.

Gosh, this one is giving me fits! Reworked above the eye area, still not satisfied but better still needs more blending/burnishing there to soften the transition.
Quitting until this evening, need a
eak.
Thanks for viewing!

Hi Mike and thanks for stopping by with such a lovely comment!
I would love to see your horse as i am certain you have done a great job on it!

Here is the update for this evening, and yep...it is still giving me fits!
I have enlarged the eye(see what I get for not working from a reference? :( ), which just about caused me to trash this one.
I also reworked(oh yet again!)the upper portion above the eye.
I will finish up tomorrow as any more today and I will be tearing this one to shreds.
I don't know why this one is giving me such a problem, I've done horse eyes before. This one is like I have little clue what I am doing....hey....maybe THAT'S it!!
Anyway thanks for viewing and any helpful comments are always appreciated.
Will post final tommorrow(I hope  )

OK....I'm still not done! WHY? Because I think I finally figured out what was bugging me about the proportions on this horse!(Gee...took me long enough!)
See if you agree with the changes, and I promise to try to finish this evening!!! 8) . if i don't finish this one soon, I will wear a hole right through the paper with all the reworkings!
