Ya know, Kristian, I now think that an ASC moderator
should have psych eval skills, just like I do, LOL!!!!!!
Ok, not really but what's tripping me out is the flat background
that 'keeps everything in'. I'm noticing a fence below the road and how
the road angles 'in'. This whole idea makes me want to walk past those
strong rocks back into town? Colorwork is thoughtful and harmonious. Thank You, E

Hello Elizabeth! =)
Longing for summer! The winter is so dark and long overhere. 3-4 h day light.
I love sitting on a rock and smoke my pipe in places like this. Just a few month left now! =)

"Ok, not really but what's tripping me out is the flat background
that 'keeps everything in'."
Is that good or bad?

Cheers!

Thank you Elizabeth for your psych eval skills comments. It has helped down though the years more than you can know.

Kristian. The flat background is Good. This is a sensitively painted landscape. The tree forms are also flat sinewy shapes. The green leaves on the left and the rocks on the right keep the viewer on the road. The color palette and style are reminiscent of the color washes in circa 1920's magazines. It causes a feeling of nostalgia while looking at this painting that produces an overall pleasant experience. Nice job. I like it.
