I am covered with an orange dust.

Hello everybody,

I am sitting here and crying. We are having a very strong dust storm all over NSW Australia. I didn't feel well yesterday and didn't know why. Today I know , that we were already had in our lungs flour -like an orange dust.
It is an awful feeling. Everything in my place is covered with this. OMG!!!
Even one of my newest oil paintings(wet) changed its color. What can we do? Nothing! This is a huge power of mother nature and we can't help it.

After it will stop I will clean up my home for 2 days and hopefully dust will not choke me to death. Just pray for krysta

My goodness, never heard of such a thing, stay safe my friend. It must be coming from the desert, right? Hopefully it won't bother your lungs too much. For cleaning it up I would definitely use a dustmask! Buy one if you can. Cleanup stirs it all up, and you
eath that dust in all over again.

Dust storms! I am WELL familiar with them, as I experienced many livng in the desert.
Nothing you can do but wait it out. I know how you must be feeling krysta, like you can't
eathe deeply for fear of getting even more dust in your lungs!
I am thinking of you and please stay safe, and wait until the dust settles, then clean with water, don't dust with dry cloth, it won't work.
Wearing a lightly dampend mask will help as well.
A good vacumn is also a plus. I don't envy you the next several days, my friend, but will keep you in my thoughts and send you clean air thoughts!

Did you ever see a dark, blue sun? It looked this morning amazingly beautiful. I didnt take a photo because worried about my camera. It was difficult to
eath, that much dust. Thank God it is over. I hope it will not be back .The wind is still strong. Who knows what will

Hey E., we have many masks for swine flu , just in case. Roman used a kilometer of ducting tape around the door and windows to protect our home. It looks awful but I think it was a good idea.

Yes Erika , the dust came from the desert. I remember one in 25 years but not like this one.

You are such a nice friend of mine. I hope you have a several strong "horses" to lift up your furniture. Look after yourself B. Big job is in front of you but I am sure ,very soon, you will paint again. I love your last one.

I'm sorry to hear about the dust storm. I never experienced anything like that, and am glad I didn't.

My heart goes out to you.

Definitely wear a mask when you clean.

We just get winter blizzards up here. They can be damaging too, last year we lost our shed due to collapse from the snow. Mother nature can be
utal and scary sometimes.
