Hello Joe, The patina is called Powder Blue. Same as I use on the Bull Skull and skeleton. Only on this one I did'nt use any green. I use no patina on the teeth or inside the eye sockets and nose openings.

Thats way cool! What material do you start with? whatever it is, it looks as tho this piece will last forever, someone could dig it up hundreds of years from now and make all kinds of conclusions about our civilization...way to represent!!!

These nail sculptures are awesome. I think they would look fantastic for abstract work as well. Or abstracted figures from your paintings. It would be interesting to leave the nails partially uncovered too. Keep experimenting John, the technique is wonderful for all kinds of explorations in new directions.
