We believe that this stunning floral painting is by the first American Impressionist John Joseph Enneking. It is clearly signed Enneking and is clearly worthy of that era. There are too many similarities for it not to be, yet the one and only expert on Enneking dismisses that is it one of his oils.

Please review all of the details we have come up with the determine whether this is a John Joseph Enneking oil painting.

There are several great mystery paintings in this world which are really impressive and still their secrets have not revealed, such as Monalisa.

Hi, John! I Googled Enneking and looked at around 5 pages of images
from his work. I saw only a few still lifes - he seemed to paint mostly landscapes.
It's possible that he painted this bowl of flowers, maybe as a student but the style just doesn't look like
anything I've seen by him. This particular style looks a bit more modern and less Van-gogh-y, rangy.
Having said that, Enneking might have "gone off the beaten" in this single instance but I'm thinking no,
at surface glance with only Google as a reference, this is not one of his.
